Dentures


Dentures are made from a plastic or metal depending on your sitaution.

Plastic:
If you are just about to lose a tooth and need something purely for cosmetic reasons so a gap does not show while the socket heals then a plastic denture would be made. This plate will have the false tooth added onto it and this is made in a laboratory. You can have just one or numerous teeth of these. Some people have lost all of their teeth and those dentures are known as full dentures.

Flexible plastic:
Flexible plastic are a new type of denture on the market. Your dentist would advise you when this is suitable to use.

These dentures are made of a special fibre and have many benefits from the standard plastic dentures:

Metal:
These are the ultimate dentures. They have handmade Cobalt Chromium (metal) frames, which are much nicer than the plastic ones and have many more benefits.
These types of dentures not only fit extremely well they also look amazing and no-one would be able to notice that the teeth were not your own!
These dentures are made once a tooth or several teeth have been missing for a period of six months and it is unlikely that you are lose any more teeth. Many dentists refer to these as cosmetic dentures and are great for people with multiple missing teeth.
